The Latest Rumoured PS5 Specs & News
Sony shocked the world back in April when they officially announced some of the specs for their upcoming console, despite the fact that it is still more than a year away from release. They revealed that the PS5 will be powered by a 7nm AMD Ryzen 3000 processor giving this console some real kick.
Thanks to hothardware.com we can reveal some other crucial details that have may been leaked about Sony’s upcoming PS5 console. As with anything that gets leaked do not take this to be 100% accurate, while all rumours and speculation are genuine possibilities still take the information with a pinch of salt for now.
Apparently the console will have:
- An 8-core/ 16-thread Ryzen 3000 processor
- The GPU is rumoured to have a total 72 computer units, with either a 16GB or 24GB memory.
- The SSD is said to be 2TB, this is certainly a huge improvement over the current generation consoles. 2TB should be a comfortable amount for most gamers, especially since most are currently used to only 500GB to 1TB depending upon which PS4 it is that they own.
Load times look set to become a thing of the past! Sony have certainly earned their bragging rights when it comes to the new and improved loading times set for the PS5. Loading screens are the bane of many a gamers existence so this could be a huge reason to upgrade. With the current specs the PS5 is believed to have 8K could very well be in the future for gaming, however the current available hardware on the market would be unable to deliver 8K. Sony has confirmed that there will be backwards compatibility with the PS4, yet another reason to be ready to upgrade once the PS5 hits shelves.
