The Last of Us Part II Composer Teases Release is Coming “Very Soon”

Since its announcement at PlayStation Experience (PSX) 2016, The Last of Us Part II has been one of the most anticipated games currently in development. Following PSX 2016, developer Naughty Dog has shown a couple of trailers for the game, with a full gameplay reveal during E3 2018. Now, because of The Last of Us Part II ‘s composer, Gustavo Santaolla, we know the game could be releasing a lot sooner than we think.

The Last of Us Part II

Santaolla recently performed in Kuwait where he played songs from The Last of Us and a little mix of The Last of Us Part II. He didn’t offer much about the upcoming game, except to say that it’s coming “very soon”. Aside from this, though, we still don’t have a release window but are hopeful this means the game could be releasing some time this year; and, of course, nothing is confirmed without an official statement from Naughty Dog or Sony.

The Last of Us Part II isn’t the only major game whose release date has been heavily teased lately. A release for Kojima Productions’ Death Stranding has also been getting a lot of buzz, with a release window being mentioned by Norman Reedus as some time early this year, and then more recently from a hint dropped by Troy Baker.

While it’s uncertain when The Last of Us Part II will officially release, there are still plenty of other titles we’re excited about this year. When the game does finally come out, it will release exclusively for PlayStation 4.
