Xbox One X: What You Can Play at Launch

Xbox One X launches tomorrow, bringing with it a solid number of games that will be available to play, with more on the horizon in the coming year. Over one hundred games have been (or, are being) enhanced to run at 4K/HDR on Microsoft’s new console, but what will you actually be able to play tomorrow? Here are several games that will be available when the Xbox One launches.

Assassin’s Creed Origins

Assassin's Creed Origins

Assassin’s Creed Origins is already stunning on PS4 and Xbox One, but it will look even better in 4K using the full capabilities of the Xbox One X Scorpio engine. Explore the massive world of ancient Egypt and uncover the origin of the Brotherhood.

Forza Motorsport 7

Forza Motorsport 7

Experience “true adrenaline in 4K”. Forza Motorsport 7 released early last month for Xbox One, and now its enhancements for Xbox One X will make it even more of a dynamic and unforgettable experience.

Gears of War 4

Xbox One X

It’s only right this classic Xbox franchise is getting the 4K treatment. Gears 4 was well-received and was even touted as being the best in the series since the first game.

Rise of the Tomb Raider

Xbox One X

Rise of the Tomb Raider took everything that was great about the 2013 reboot and made it better, especially when it came to traversing the wilderness and using Lara’s unique array of weapons.

Shadow of War

Xbox One X

Middle-earth: Shadow of War was another big one to release last month. Go behind enemy lines to defeat Sauron, all while experiencing the depth and richness of Middle-earth.

Titanfall 2

Xbox One X

The follow-up to Titanfall has only been Xbox One X enhanced and unfortunately does not support 4K or HDR.

Xbox One X releases tomorrow, November 7. Let us know if you will be picking up the new console and some of these games. You can check out the full list of enhanced Xbox One X titles here.

Tori Morrow

Tori is originally from Rapture but now she lives in Chicago. She enjoys open world RPGs, a good narrative-driven game, and is probably the only person still watching The Walking Dead.
