Sinnoh Pokemon Have Arrived in Pokemon GO

When The Pokémon Company released its second game on the mobile platform with Pokémon Go, it entered the cultural conversation unlike any other game, attracting core fans who were excited for a brand-new experience and casual fans who were eager to embark on the nostalgia of their childhood. Upon the game’s release, the Pokémon that trainers could encounter were limited to the Kanto Region. The Pokémon Company and Niantic have now released Pokémon from the Sinnoh Region into the wild.

Announced via a video posted on The Pokémon Company’s twitter, fans will now get to relive their Generation 4 experience via Pokémon Go. The announcement was structured like most Pokémon Go announcements, wherein a host of Pokémon are seen navigating the real world. While this trailer followed the same formulaic approach, it was nonetheless exciting.

In this video, some of the most notable Pokémon from Generation Four are exploring various locations. Here, we can see Mamoswine trudging through a blizzard, Garchomp battling on rough terrain, and a Giratina emerging from a secluded cave.

The release of Generation 4 Pokémon comes right before the next Pokémon Go Community Day. Occurring this Sunday, fans will be enticed to get outside with new bonuses and increased catch rates. October’s Pokémon Go Community Day will be centered around the Psychic, Steel type Pokémon Beldum. Accordingly, players will have a greater chance to catch both the regular and shiny variations of the Pokémon. Moreover, Beldum will be equipped the exclusive move Meteor Mash.

Alongside this increased catch rate, Lures will be active for 3 hours and Egg hatch distance will be decreased to a quarter of its current rate.

With the approach of colder weather, fans are sure to head outside this weekend to experience a new Generation and October’s Community Day.
