The Last of Us Part II’s Release Month May Have Been Leaked

The Last of Us Part II is one of the biggest games still in development, and one of the few that still does not have a solid release date or release window. That may have just changed, thanks to a new leak from Peruvian video game retailer LawGamers, which listed a promotional poster for The Last of Us Part II and has the release pegged for “October 2019, along with an option for pre-orders.

Like all leaks, take this one with a grain of salt, since we haven’t gotten any confirmation from Naughty Dog or Sony. However, an October release doesn’t seem too far-fetched, considering The Last of Us Part II’s composer, Gustavo Santaolla recently teased the game would be coming “very soon.”

The Last of Us Part II takes place five years after The Last of Us (2013) and will feature Ellie as the main, playable character. During E3 2018, we were treated to a lengthy gameplay trailer; and while we’re still not exactly sure what happened to Joel yet, there are a host of new characters we will be introduced to in this game, including what looks to be a love interest for Ellie.
