TGS 2019: Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Release Date

The Tokyo Game Show (TGS 2019) is in a few days which means there will be a plethora of breaking news, updates, and more to get excited about. Remember last September when a ton of Final Fantasy games were announced or the Nintendo Switch? Well one of those games just got a release date- Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered Edition (FFCC).

Most will remember FFCC as the game which required four GameBoy Advances in order to play with three other friends. It is because of that that it remains one of the hardest Final Fantasies to play. Despite that fact it has remained a classic and beloved game that many still fondly remember. The game featured hack and slash action gameplay paired with RPG elements. FFCC was originally a GameCube exclusive, Square partnered with Nintendo to ensure the financial success of this spin-off. This came shortly after the failure that was Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within, an animated movie that was box-office bomb.

Even though the original game required four Game Boy Advances, this new remaster will not. Players can use online multiplayer with up to four players, now with the ability for cross-platform play! Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles Remastered Edition will be available to play January 23, 2020 on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and mobile devices. With variant costumes, voice acting, cross-platform play, make sure not to miss this game when it releases early next year. TGS 2019 takes place this week, so make sure to check back for all news updates!
