New Ubisoft Forward Announced for Next Week

Ubisoft has announced that their second Ubisoft Forward digital event will take place next week on Thursday, September 10th. The pre-show will start at 11AM PT/2PM ET, with the main show starting at 12PM PT/3PM ET. Accompanying the announcement is a video on the company’s YouTube page that reveals the games that will be appearing in the show. In the video description, Ubisoft says the event will “feature new games and big news on Ubisoft’s upcoming lineup of games and content.”

We can expect to see games such as Watch Dogs: Legion, Rainbow Six Siege, and Hyperscape during Ubisoft Forward next week given the fact that they made an appearance in the video. It also appears as if we will be getting the return of Gods & Monsters, now renamed Immortals: Fenyx Rising. The game was first announced at E3 last year with a cinematic trailer, but we’ve yet to get a proper look at gameplay from the title. Ubisoft has said that Immortals: Fenyx Rising will be coming to next-gen consoles, though the question remains of when exactly the game will release. Given its absence from the public eye, and the big games that Ubisoft has releasing later this year, it stands to reason that the game won’t be released until next year at the earliest.

The first Ubisoft Forward event took place in July and featured the announcement of Far Cry 6, as well as brand new looks at gameplay for Watch Dogs: Legion and Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla. Could next week’s Ubisoft Forward give us a look at Beyond Good & Evil 2? That is yet another game that we haven’t seen in years, with its last appearance being at E3 2018 with a cinematic trailer that revealed the presence of Jade, the protagonist of the original game. There have also been rumors about a Prince of Persia remake being in the works, so that could potentially be a part of the show as well. We won’t have to wait too long to find out.
