Meet The Characters Of Destruction AllStars In A New Trailer

Earlier today, we got a brand new trailer for the PlayStation 5 exclusive, Destruction AllStars, and it introduced us to the titular AllStars that we’ll be playing as in the car combat game. While there are 16 total characters in the game, the trailer only features seven of them. If this trailer is anything to go by though, the rest of the roster will have a character for everyone to gravitate towards.

The characters in the new trailer all posses a unique sense of style and personality that make them all stand out from one another. Shown off first is Ultimo Barricado, a big, burly guy who’s dressed in a luchador outfit. His vehicle matches his appearance, both visually and physically, as it deploys a front-facing shield used for ramming opponents. Then there’s the more wacky looking Boxtop, a guy wearing a cape and a cardboard box over their head with different expressions on each side of it.

My personal favorites from the trailer are Harmony and Twinkle Riot. Harmony is a plus-sized woman who’s dressed in a flashy composer’s suit, and her vehicle complements her perfectly since it’s outfitted with speakers all around it that blast sound waves to repel opponents. Twinkle Riot, on the other hand, is like a combination of Daft Punk and Twitch streamer due to their light up helmet with a digital faceplate, their pink cat aesthetic, and the different moves that they show off.

Destruction AllStars was first announced in June at the PS5 reveal event and was supposed to launch alongside the PS5 last year. It ended up being pushed back to this coming February where it will launch for free through PlayStation Plus for two months. The last time we saw the game was in November when we got a look at the game modes in Destruction AllStars, but things have been quiet ever since. We still don’t have a solid release date for the game, but perhaps today’s trailer is a sign that more info is on the horizon.
