E3 2021: S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 Extended Gameplay, Release Date Announced

During the Xbox E3 2021 conference, we got our first extended look at GSC Gameworld’s S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chernobyl. The game will make its console debut when it releases in April 2022.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 was first revealed during an Xbox event in 2020, but we finally got a more in-depth look at the horror, first-person shooter today. The five-minute clip jumps between characters sitting around a campfire, moments of combat, and the character walking through the radioactive, Chernobyl Exclusion Zone. GSC Gameworld promises one of the biggest open worlds to date, “filled with radiation, mutants and anomalies” to explore. The game has been completely optimized for the Xbox Series X | S and will include ray tracing and 4K resolution.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chernobyl releases April 28, 2022 for Xbox Series X | S and PC, and it is currently available for pre-order. The game will be a timed exclusive on the Xbox for three months.
