E3 2021: New Assassin’s Creed Valhalla DLC Arrives This Summer

During the Ubisoft Forward event on Saturday, Ubisoft announced that it’s still committed to Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, and it looks like the developers are going all in as the game enters its second year. Ubisoft announced new content the game will receive this summer, as well as in the upcoming months. The most notable piece of news is Valhalla is getting its second story expansion titled The Siege of Paris, which follows the recent release of Wrath of the Druids.

The Siege of Paris takes place in war-torn Francia and, according to Ubisoft, players will “engage the forces of Charles the Fat as you participate in the Viking’s most daring conquest.” Black-box infiltration missions are returning in this new DLC, meaning players are given a singular goal for a mission but can achieve it in a multitude of ways. The Siege of Paris DLC will also feature new weapons, gear, and enemies. Overall gameplay for Valhalla is also receiving an update, with one-handed swords being added to the game in the coming weeks.

For those who have not already purchased the Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Season Pass for $39.99, The Siege of Paris DLC will be available for purchase separately for $24.99. At the time of writing this, there is no release date for the upcoming expansion, but it will release some time this summer.
