E3 2018: Death Stranding Adds Two More Celebs to Cast, Gameplay Revealed

It wouldn’t be a Sony E3 2018 showcase without a much-needed look at Death Stranding from Kojima Productions. The latest trailer from the upcoming title is a head-scratcher, and yet it’s the most conclusive look we’ve seen of the game thus far. For those who’ve been following the development of Death Stranding, you know that’s saying a lot. And yes, in the new trailer, Norman Reedus is still naked.

The new look at Death Stranding introduced two new actresses to the cast- Lea Seydoux (Spectre) and Lindsay Wagner (The Bionic Woman)- though their characters, much like the rest of the Death Stranding cast remains unknown right now.

Death Stranding

The phrase Give me your hand in life…give me your hand in death…give me your hand in flesh…give me your hand in spirit was spread throughout the trailer, interspersed between moments of stealth and conversation between Reedus and Seydoux’s character. Stealth seems to be a solid part of the gameplay, given what we’ve seen tonight. In the trailer, Norman Reedus’s character attempts to sneak past several black figures roaming the skies, whom we’ve seen in past looks at Death Stranding.

It all culminated with a surprise appearance by Lindsay Wagner after the title screen rolled. Wagner’s character cryptically stands at the end, and, in a voice over, says “You’re too late. You still don’t know who I am, do you? Even with this sizable look at the game we had tonight, Death Stranding still leaves much to be desired, as the game looks even more mysterious and confusing each time it’s shown, with little to no questions being addressed.

Here’s hoping more information about the game surfaces during the rest of the week at E3. Right now, there is no release date or window for Death Stranding, but the game will be released exclusively for the PlayStation 4.
