E3 2018: Check Out the Extended Trailer for Kingdom Hearts III

There has been a lot of Kingdom Hearts III news going around during E3. From director Tetsuya Nomura’s abrupt announcement of a release date  early yesterday morning, to a new trailer debuting during Microsoft’s E3 press conference, the next major installment in the series has been getting some much-deserved attention.

Kingdom Hearts III

During Square Enix’s conference today, we got an extended look at Sora’s next adventure. The majority of the trailer was just repeating what we’d already seen yesterday from Microsoft, with the added bonus of seeing Ralph from Wreck-it-Ralph and Remy from Ratatouille.

Hopefully, this was also confirmation these characters’ respective worlds will be featured in Kingdom Hearts III, and they won’t simply be used for summoning purposes. The brief scene with Sora and Wreck-It-Ralph, though, appeared to be pixelated, so that should give fans a good idea of what’s to come and to expect to see Ralph’s world.

We’ve also been getting several glimpses of Rapunzel from Tangled and how her hair will be featured in the game (though many fans had a good idea). In one scene, we see her tie her hair around a branch and swing herself and Sora across a gap. Rapunzel’s world Kingdom of Corona has already been confirmed as one of the brand new worlds that will appear in the game, so it’s also likely Sora will be able to add her to his party, effectively swapping out either Donald or Goofy.

Kingdom Hearts III is set to release for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on January 29, 2019. For more E3 news, keep up with LoadingXP here.
