Square Enix Announces Kingdom Hearts- The Story So Far

Over the weekend, Square Enix and Disney announced a new collection titled Kingdom Hearts- The Story So Far. This new collection will take players through nine chapters of the Kingdom Hearts series.

The official description explains that “Keyblade wielders can relive the magical adventures of Sora, Donald Duck, Goofy, and friends as they attempt to stop the Heartless invasion that threatens their universe.” Players will venture to Disney locations, teaming up with characters from iconic Disney movies and Final Fantasy games to fight back against darkness and restore light.

The Story So Far will include the following games:

Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5+2.5 ReMIX

• Re: Chain of Memories
• 358/2 Days (HD Remastered cinematics)
• Final Mix
• Birth by Sleep Final Mix
• Re:coded (HD Remastered cinematics)

Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue

• Dream Drop Distance HD
• 0.2 Birth by Sleep -A fragmentary passage- 
• X Back Cover (movie)

While the upcoming Kingdom Hearts III (set to release at the end of January) is a direct sequel to the second game, The Story So Far will be great for fans, both new and returning, to get caught up on the dozens of subplots that have been introduced into the series.

The Story So Far is currently available for pre-order at Square Unix’s online store, as well as at participating retailers. The game will be available on October 30 for PlayStation 4
