Ubisoft Announces Digital Showcase Coming This Summer

Today Ubisoft announced that it would be hosting an E3-style digital showcase this summer called Ubisoft Forward. The event will feature exclusive news and game reveals.

In the wake of E3 2020 being canceled next month, Ubisoft has become one of many developers and publishers to officially announce the details of an online showcase. EA will be hosting EA Play Live on June 11, and Devolver Digital will also be taking its conference online this year. Head of Xbox, Phil Spencer, confirmed that Xbox would also be hosting a own digital event in place of its usual E3 conference, but the details of that have yet to be announced. To tide you over until that official announcement, though, check out some of the titles featured during the Inside Xbox live stream last week.

Ubisoft hasn’t revealed any of the games it plans to show off during this digital event, but we can pretty much guess that we’ll be seeing a lot more of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla (an actual gameplay trailer, perhaps?), which is set to release Holiday 2020.

Other titles that Ubisoft has on the horizon that we’re likely to see at the event is Watch Dogs: Legion, Rainbow Six: Quarantine, and the new IP Gods & Monsters, which was a surprise reveal at Ubi’s E3 2019 conference. We’re also hoping to get another look at Beyond Good and Evil 2, which has been noticeably quiet.

Ubisoft Forward will be held on Sunday, July 12 at 12pm PT / 3pm ET. More details will follow soon.
