Stunning Puzzle Game Rangi Launches on PSVR This Month
Developer Funsoft announced its puzzle game Rangi will be launching on PSVR in March. The story is intriguing, to say the least:
“Long ago, the Musiki’s rhythms protected the Nchi. They lived lives of peace and plenty, dancing as one to the world’s drumbeat. Now the Music Giants’ lifeforce is ensnared by a devious enemy, and a warrior comes to set it free…”
Rangi is already out on Gear VR, Oculus Rift, HTC Vive, and PC, but it will soon be getting the PSVR treatment sometime this month. The mystical puzzler is filled with African tribal art and gorgeous African landscapes. Funsoft also describes inspiration for the game stemming from ancient architecture, rhythmic music, and African landscapes.
Players are tasked with solving challenging puzzles, reconstructing statues, and navigating deadly platforms in order to “discover the joys of virtual flight”- all while while solving the mysteries in a world destroyed by the Matata, or the “stealers of sound”. Funsoft invites players to “recover the life force of the Music Giants and restore rhythm to the world.” Check out the full story:
While there are plenty of VR games that can cause nausea and dizziness, Rangi promises to offer a comfortable VR experience- one that is filled with exploration and will (hopefully) offer players a unique take on a new cultural experience. Players may not need a dose of Dramamine to get through Rangi, but it will still be a challenging experience, according to Funsoft, and it will take time and patience to solve the puzzles.
