Stealth Horror Game Hello Neighbor Will Creep its Way to PS4 and Switch

Things get progressively creepy in tinyBuild’s stealth horror game Hello Neighbor, which has you continuously sneaking into your neighbor’s house to uncover the dark secrets in his basement. It sounds like a simplistic premise, if not reminiscent of the classic 80s movie, The Burbs.

While the game may be sans Tom Hanks, the unique thing about Hello Neighbor is the Neighbor’s advanced AI, which adapts to your style of gameplay. The Neighbor quickly becomes more intelligent each time you break into his house and learns from your mistakes the more you play and attempt to evade him. Soon, just sneaking in through the front door will be a challenge, as the Neighbor would have installed cameras to catch you.

The official description from tinyBuild explains: “The Neighbor gathers all the information about the player’s actions, decisions, movements etc. Having analyzed it, he comes up with counter-actions, traps and unique tactics against the player. The more one plays, the more experienced the Neighbor becomes.”

Originally released for PC and Xbox One last year, the game will be making its way to PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch on July 27, 2018. The PS4 version of the game will be $30, while the Switch version is ten dollars more at $40.
