ICYMI: The Sinking City is Also Coming to Nintendo Switch

Frogwares is launching its Lovecraft-inspired game The Sinking City next week for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. But last week during E3 2019, the developer revealed the game will also be making its way to Nintendo Switch.

Described as a “supernatural detective thriller”, The Sinking City takes place in the fictional, open world of Oakmont, Massachusetts against the backdrop of the Roaring Twenties and the cultural shifts that have come to define the era. But behind the jazz music, prohibition, and the economic boom, Frogwares describes Oakmont as a “strange place with its fair share of dark and sinister secrets.”

The Sinking City

Not only is Oakmont completely isolated from the mainland, but the city is also plagued by strange and massive flooding that has resulted in the deaths of several locals. This is where the player comes in.

Players will play as a private investigator, who enters the city during this flooding disaster. Exploration is the foundation of The Sinking City, and the open world of Oakmont is integral to the main gameplay mechanic of open investigation, as you put your skills to work and get to the bottom of what’s been going on.

The Sinking City releases on PS4, Xbox One, and PC via the Epic Games store on June 27th. The game will also release for Nintendo Switch soon.
