After a series of delays, CD Projekt Red’s Cyberpunk 2077 is finally set to release on Thursday, December 10. The highly-anticipated RPG is launching on a variety of platforms, however, so exactly when you’ll be able to play is based on where you live and what hardware you’re getting the game on. The official Cyberpunk 2077 Twitter account posted a handy map with all of the launch and pre-load information for PC, Stadia, and console.
If you’d prefer to read about it without being blinded by the brand’s signature yellow coloring, we’ve summarized all of the important information below.
Cyberpunk 2077 will launch simultaneously for all PC and Google Stadia players at 12:00am GMT on December 10. Those who purchased the game through GOG can start their pre-load at 12:00pm CET on December 7, while Steam and Epic Games Store pre-loads will start at 5pm CET the same day.
PS4 and Xbox One players will be able to start playing the game when the clock strikes midnight in their local region on December 10. Pre-loads from the Xbox Store are available now, while PSN pre-loads will begin “2 days prior to the release date,” which should translate to some time on December 8.
It’s worth mentioning that Cyberpunk 2077 is playable on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S through backwards compatibility. The game will see performance improvements on the new consoles at launch, but native new-gen versions will be made available via a free upgrade in 2021.
Cyberpunk 2077 is easily the most-anticipated game of 2020. CD Projekt Red unveiled the game’s photo mode last week and it’s filled to the brim with exciting features for budding Night City photographers. Back in October, Geoff Keighley announced that the game’s last delay made it ineligible for this year’s edition of The Game Awards, but it could take home some trophies next year.
