DOOM Eternal to Receive Two Campaign Expansions Post-Launch
DOOM Eternal is set to release this November, and post-launch plans for the game have been revealed via the description on the game’s Collector’s Edition, which is currently available for pre-order.
DOOM Eternal is the direct sequel to the DOOM reboot, which released in 2016. In this sequel, players will play as the DOOM Slayer who has returned to Earth only to find it has “suffered a demonic invasion.”
There are three editions of the game available for pre-order: Standard, Deluxe, and Collector’s Edition. Of the many features included in the Collector’s Edition, the most notable one fans can expect to receive is the DOOM Eternal Year One Pass. According to Bethesda, this Pass will grant players access to two single-player Campaign expansions, both of which will release in one year of DOOM Eternal’s launch. Other than these campaigns being mentioned in the description of the Collector’s Edition, we don’t know anything else about them yet.
Other great additions in the Collector’s Edition include a DOOM Lore Book, which has custom-made artwork directly from developer id Software, and a full-sized, wearable DOOM Slayer helmet (pictured above). Players can pre-order this special Collector’s Edition now from the Bethesda Gear Store or from participating retailers.
DOOM Eternal will release on November 22, 2019 for PS4, Xbox One, PC, Nintendo Switch, and Google Stadia.
