Steam May Have Leaked the Outer Worlds’ Release Date

We may have a better idea of when to expect Obsidian Entertainment’s The Outer Worlds, assuming a Steam leak ends up being true.

DSO Gaming noticed a change on the game’s SteamDB page, which indicates that the RPG briefly showed a release date of August 6, 2019 on Valve’s PC game marketplace. The date became visible on February 22 and was removed only hours later. The listing also revealed that the game will include subtitles in a variety of languages, including French, German, Italian, and Japanese.

The Outer Worlds

The Outer Worlds has become one of the most hotly-anticipated games of 2019, especially after Fallout 76 failed to deliver the experience that RPG fans are accustomed to. The game is being created by developers who previously worked on Fallout and Fallout: New Vegas and will not include microtransactions. This will also be the last game that Obsidian will develop for a PlayStation platform, as Microsoft acquired the studio last year.

Regardless of release date, The Outer Worlds is slated to release on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
