Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Direct Incoming November 1st

Yesterday, Nintendo of America announced their final Smash Direct via a Twitter announcement. The new title was first announced during E3 2018 with a short teaser trailer. Since the initial announcement, we have received multiple Directs that have provided some insight into what will be the franchise’s most thorough iteration.

Past Directs provided hype-inducing character reveals, introducing several fighters fans have been wanting for years, including King K. Rool, Isabelle, Ridley, and Simon Belmont. Alongside these long-awaited characters, Game Director Masahiro Sakurai has announced Smash Ultimate will bring back all previous Smash fighters, such as Snake, Wolf, and Pichu.

In addition to these character revels, previous Directs have shown new stage features that make the upcoming title unlike any previous Smash game. With over 100 stages in the upcoming title, Smash Ultimate greatly surpasses its predecessors. Players will also have the option to play these stages in Battlefield, Omega, and Hazardless formations. One of the most recent Smash Directs we received also revealed stage transformations, which allows players to select multiple stages in one game. The result of the abundant character and stage options will give players, casual and competitive, endless hours of new content.

Nintendo has also confirmed new game modes, items, and mechanics that will be reigniting the franchise for fans old and new, including a new tourney and training mode.

In this recent twitter announcement, Nintendo informed players that they can expect a 40-minute Direct. Previous Nintendo Directs ran between 25-30 minutes. The upcoming Direct’s 40-minute run time, in addition to the fact that it’s Nintendo’s final chance to entice fans to purchase the game, insures we can expect a jam-packed, hype-filled Direct.

While it’s likely Nintendo will be revealing the unannounced game mode teased in a previous Direct, there is still more info we are hoping to see. At LoadingXP, we expect to see a few more character reveals and a playable demo announcement. Regardless of what’s to come in this Direct, it is sure to be filled to the brim with new information on this highly anticipated game.

Be sure to stay tuned after the Direct. Nintendo has revealed they will be streaming a Nintendo Treehouse after the Direct, showing gameplay from Smash Ultimate, Pokemon: Let’s Go, Yoshi’s Crafted World, and Diablo III.

You can watch the Smash Direct on Nintendo’s Youtube and Twitch, in addition to the official Super Smash Bros. website, tomorrow at 7:00 a.m. PT and 10:00 a.m.ET.
