PS Plus Free Games Revealed for February 2019

February 2019 will mark new beginnings and bittersweet farewells for PlayStation Plus as Sony has announced the roster of free games and updates coming to its subscription-based service for the second month of the year.

Headlining the PlayStation 4’s list of freebies is Ubisoft’s medieval action game For Honor, released in 2017. Alongside it you will also be able to channel your inner assassin in Square Enix’s Hitman: The Complete First Season. Originally released episodically in 2016, this edition compiles all the exotic levels into one package, meaning you can wreak havoc as Agent 47 everywhere from Paris to Bangkok.

The PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita line-ups come with a touch of sadness as they will be the final free games available on those systems through PS Plus. Thankfully, Sony is sending them off on a strong note with the epic Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots being offered on the PS3. The unique fighting game Divekick will also be making an appearance on Sony’s previous home console, as well as Vita, while Gunhouse and Rogue Aces will be available across Vita and PS4.

All these games will be available for free on PS Plus starting February 5, 2019. That means you still have a chance to jump on January’s free offerings which includes titles such as Steep on PS4 and Zone of the Enders – HD Collection on PS3.

You’ll have a full month to download PS4’s February games, while the PS3 and Vita titles will be available for an extended time until March 8, 2019. Sony has also confirmed that any games you have downloaded from the retiring systems will still be a part of your library if you remain a PS Plus member and download the games before March 8.

Onto some happier news, as the cloud storage on PS Plus will be expanding from 10GB to 100GB in early February. This means more space to store any save files you have so you can transfer them between different systems.
