Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales Swings onto PS5 This Holiday Season

The reveal trailer for Insomniac Games’ Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales was a big surprise during the PlayStation 5 digital showcase today. The game will serve as a sequel to the popular, PlayStation 4 exclusive Marvel’s Spider-Man, which released in 2018, and it will follow Peter Parker’s protege Miles Morales, who was also featured in the game as a playable character. Marvel’s Spider-Man set up the potential for a sequel perfectly, with Miles (spoiler alert) getting bit by a radioactive spider near the end of the game.

You can read our full review of the game here, where we describe it as a “fantastic game” that is worth picking up.

The announcement trailer today didn’t show off gameplay or give away any possibly narrative elements, but we did see Miles in cinematic action and catch a glimpse of some of his abilities. The trailer revealed the game will release for PlayStation 5 in the Holiday 2020 window.
