The Kingdom Hearts games are known for their flashy intros with memorable music tracks and Kingdom Hearts III continues that tradition. The opening movie for the series’ latest entry has been uploaded to the PlayStation YouTube channel and can be viewed below.
The movie features a music track titled “Face My Fears,” which is performed by Japanese singer Hikaru Yutada and American electronic musician Skrillex. Yutada has contributed several tracks to the Kingdom Hearts series since its debut in 2002, while Skrillex is a “superfan” of the franchise, according to the video’s description.
Kingdom Hearts III, which will launch on PS4 and Xbox One on January 29, 2019, just recently wrapped up development. It was originally announced in 2013 at Sony’s E3 press conference. Limited edition PS4 and PS4 Pro consoles are slated to release alongside the game, but Square Enix has not clarified if they will be available anywhere outside of Japan.
