Last September Nintendo made the shocking announcement that 2010’s creepy cult classic Deadly Premonition is getting a sequel. What made the news even more surprising was the fact that this sequel will be a Nintendo Switch Exclusive! Deadly Premonition 2: A Blessing in Disguise (DP2) will join the catalogue of other exclusives, just like last year’s MUA3.
For those unfamiliar, the first game was a thriller/mystery originally released on the PS3 to a bevy of bug and glitches. However, some claim that is part of the game’s charm and what makes it stand out among similar titles. The game featured elements of horror in an open-world where players control FBI agent Francis York Morgan as he investigates a notorious serial killer.
On April 27 Nintendo uploaded a new trailer for Deadly Premonition 2 which features a James Bond-esque song and graphic. While the overall plot is still unclear, Nintendo was able to reveal that the game will be available on July 10, 2020 exclusively on the Nintendo Switch. If July is too long of a wait, check out Deadly Premonition: Origins on the Switch today. For more Nintendo Switch news and announcements, be sure to check back here.
