Here is Your Complete Pre-Order Guide for Red Dead Redemption 2

We’re just three days away from the release of Red Dead Redemption 2, and it’s not too late to pre-order the game for some major bonuses. Here is your complete pre-order guide for the biggest game of the season.

There are three pre-order Editions of the game: Standard, Special, and Ultimate. Everyone who pre-orders the game, regardless of the Edition they purchase or whether it is digital or physical copy, will receive two enhancements for the Story Mode:

War Horse: The Ardennes War Horse will be a reliable companion for Arthur Morgan, especially during battle. Rockstar Games has stated the war horse has “greater courage and stamina” than the average steed and knows how to remain calm when under attack.

The Outlaw Survival Kit: This kit offers a plethora of supplies to aid with survival in the West. Some supplies help to replenish Arthur’s health and the Dead Eye mechanic.

These next set of bonus features are only available to players who pre-order the game digitally:

Cash Bonus for Story Mode: An in-game cash bonus that will help Arthur buy weapons, ammo, food, and other useful items to help sustain the Dutch Van der Linde gang.

Treasure Map (bonus expired): Treasure is scattered throughout Red Dead Redemption 2, and the treasure map will give players a nice head start in searching for goods. (This pre-order bonus is only valid for those who pre-ordered the game before August 15.)

GTA$ Bonuses: For the Grand Theft Auto fans, any Edition of a digital pre-order for Red Dead Redemption 2 will include immediate transfer for GTA$ to your Maze Bank Account in GTA Online.

This Edition includes several, exclusive Story Mode content including:

Bank Robbery Mission & Gang Hideout: Arthur Morgan a few members of the Van der Linde gang devise a plan to rob a bank in the town of Rhodes.

Dappled Black Thoroughbred: This racehorse has exceptional speed and will keep Arthur at the front of the pack. Players will also get the exclusive Nuevo Paraiso Saddle, with silver medallion detailing.

Talisman and Medallion Gameplay Bonuses: These items will give Arthur a nice boost when they are equipped. According to Rockstar Games, “attaching the Eagle Talon Talisman to his boot, Arthur’s environmental awareness skill will last longer. By carrying the Iguana Scale in his personal Satchel, Arthur will take less damage while riding on horseback.”

Gameplay Boosts, Cash Bonuses & Discounts: This collection of content helps Arthur to survive in wilderness help out fellow gang members. The Core Stat boost, for example, benefits Arthur’s Stamina, Health and Dead Eye Cores. Players will be able to earn more cash during robbery missions with the Van der Linde gang, and when hunting and selling animal carcasses.

The Nuevo Paraiso Gunslinger Outfit: An exclusive outfit for Arthur that was inspired by the clothing worn by vaqueros and banditos south of the border. The outfit features a black cowboy hat, an indigo coat, and leather gloves and boots.

Three Free Weapons: Players will have free access to three weapons at the in-game Gunsmiths: the Volcanic Pistol, the Pump Action Shotgun, and the Lancaster Varmint Rifle.

This Edition includes all of the exclusive Story Mode items from the Special Edition, with a few added bonuses for online use.

Bonus Outfits & Free Survivor Camp Theme: Offers two exclusive outfits for your online character- The Blackrose Bounty Hunter Outfit and the Copperhead Enforcer Outfit. Players will also be able to customize their own Camp online, with access to the Survivor theme.

Rank Bonuses: Rank up faster in online, up to rank 25, with this bonus feature.

Black Chestnut Thoroughbred: In addition to this thoroughbred racehorse, players will also receive the exclusive High Plains Cutting Saddle, which has been crafted in jet-black leather with gold metal accents.

Red Dead Redemption 2 Collector’s Box

The Collector’s Box for Red Dead Redemption 2 is available from the Rockstar Warehouse and at select retailers. According to Rockstar, the Box is a “curated assortment of outlaw essentials all packaged in a thick gauged metal tithing box.” While the Collector’s Box does not include Red Dead Redemption 2, it features:

Metal Tithing Box with Lock & Key: Inspired by the lockbox used by the Van der Linde gang to stash contributions to the camp’s maintenance.

Collectable Challenge Coin: Featuring the majestic American Buffalo on one side and a scenic landscape on the other side.

Double Sided Puzzle: Double-sided, 100-piece wooden jigsaw puzzle features an illustrated view of the bustling port of Saint Denis on one side; classically-inspired Rockstar Games logo on the other.

Six Shooter Bandana: The bandana features a traditional paisley-inspired pattern with hidden weapon iconography.

Treasure Map: Treasure map reveals the location of buried treasure to help Arthur on his search for riches. Printed on durable, unrippable paper.

Pin Set: A set of six pins includes representations of weapons from Red Dead Redemption 2. Set is packaged in a canvas carrying bag.

Playing Cards: Fully-illustrated deck of playing cards featuring key members of the Dutch Van der Linde gang, including Arthur Morgan, John Marston, Javier Escuella, Bill Williamson and Dutch van der Linde himself.

Wheeler, Rawson and Co. Catalogue:  This 150-page book is a replica of the catalogue found in stores throughout the world of Red Dead Redemption 2.

12 Cigarette Cards: Collectable cards can be found throughout the world of Red Dead Redemption 2. “This physical collection includes one select card from each set like Famous Gunslingers and Outlaws, Stars of the Stage and Marvels of Travel and Locomotion.”

GameStop is Offering a Really Sweet Deal:

 For anyone who is looking to pick up Red Dead Redemption 2 and is also in need of an Xbox One, GameStop is offering a deal that seems too good to pass up. From October 25th to November 3rd, the retailer is running a special that includes Red Dead Redemption 2 and slashes $100 off the price of Xbox One X and Xbox One S.

With GameStop’s price drop, the puts the Xbox One X at $399 and the Xbox One S at $199.

Red Dead Redemption 2 releases this Friday, October 26 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
