Hefty Fallout 76 Patch Improves Gameplay, Graphics, and More

Bethesda just rolled out the first major patch for Fallout 76 on PS4, Xbox One, and PC, and the large download size comes in around 47GB on consoles. According to the notes released by Bethesda, the patch improves several bugs, along with performance issues during gameplay and stability issues that have impacted the serves.

On Xbox One, in particular, issues that could lead to instability on certain menus have been improved.

Pertaining to the art and graphics, bugs that have been fixed include shadow outlines left behind by objects players pick up; camera panning is smoother when players enter furniture; and the front of one of the Tesla Science magazine covers no longer appears completely red when players inspect it.

The gameplay has gotten a few improvements in the update. An issue has been fixed where enemies were able to chase players farther than intended, and a glitch in the quest “Bureau of Tourism” has been repaired.

In terms of PvP, selecting the “Respawn” option after death will now clear a player’s hostile status toward other players. Also, cap rewards will now be shown properly if the “Seek Revenge” respawn option is chosen after being killed by another player.
