Paris Games Week (PGW) may be behind us, but PlayStation Experience 2017 is just on the horizon. During the big event next month, we will be receiving more information about two upcoming titles: Sucker Punch’s Ghost of Tsushima and Media Molecule’s Dreams. The announcement comes from PlayStation’s blog:
We’ll be featuring a new slate of panels that reveal more developer insights into some of the biggest announcements coming out of Paris Games Week and beyond. We’re still finalizing the full list of participating developers, but you can count on some of Worldwide Studios’ biggest and brightest making an appearance, including Sucker Punch Productions, Media Molecule, and more. Want to learn more about Ghost of Tsushima and Dreams? Then PSX is where you need to be.
This year, we’ve expanded the overall show floor space by about 50% to accommodate all these new activities, which will also include new competition areas for GT Sport, a larger PlayStation Gear Store with merchandise unavailable online and more.
Ghost of Tsushima was on the big surprises of Sony’s conference during Paris Games Week. The action-adventure game is set in Tsushima, Japan during the Medieval period and has us playing as a Samurai who is tasked with defending his home from the Mongol Empire. The trailer shown at PGW was great, especially since it’s Sucker Punch’s first project since Infamous Second Son, but hopefully we will be seeing some actual gameplay from Ghost of Tsushima at PlayStation Experience.
Media Molecule’s Dreams has all but faded into obscurity since its reveal during Sony’s E3 2015 showcase. It’s been over two years now that we’ve seen anything from the sandbox game. In Dreams, players can use either their dualshock or the PlayStation move controllers to shape a creative and colorful landscape.
PlayStation Experience 2017 is right around the corner, and we’re sure to get more information about it as November rolls on. The event will take place on December 9 & 10, with a special early bird event on December 8. Tickets are available now. Tell us which games you’re most looking forward to seeing.
