Sony Teases Seven New Titles and Major Updates for Paris Games Week

Paris Games Week 2017 starts this Monday, October 30th, and Sony will be kicking things off with the announcement of seven new titles for PlayStation 4 and PSVR, as well as twenty-one updates for current titles. Though the company has been pretty vague about what we will see during the show, we’re expecting to get an extended look at upcoming titles like Horizon Zero Dawn: The Frozen Wilds DLC, Days Gone, God of War 4, Detroit: Become Human, and (maybe) Red Dead Redemption 2. A long-shot (seriously, don’t hold your breath) would be The Last of Us 2.

Horizon Zero Dawn

Earlier this month, Sony announced an updated version of the PSVR, which has already released in Japan. Given that the Xbox One X is launching on November 7th, it won’t be surprising if Sony spends a fair amount of time going into detail about the new upgrades to PSVR and giving folks a strong reason to purchase the tech.

Sony at E3 2017 was one of its most underwhelming showcases in recent memory, with us mostly seeing games that already had plenty of trailers. There weren’t any surprises during the show, the new PSVR titles were put into a montage that went by so quickly they were practically a blur, and the conference was unusually short. That was four months ago, and now that the dust and disappointment has settled, looking ahead to Paris Games Week, Sony promises fans that “E3 was only half the story.”

PlayStation’s Media Showcase at Paris Games Week begins Monday, October 30th at 9AM PT. The big game announcements and updates, though, will actually start an hour earlier at 8AM PT. Let us know what you’re most looking forward to at PGW this year, and count on LoadingXP to keep all the announcements straight for you. You can watch the showcase here on PlayStation’s own live stream, or watch it via PlayStation’s Twitch, YouTube, or Facebook channels.
