Anyone who’s been following the news surrounding the closure of Telltale Games and the status of The Walking Dead: The Final Season know it’s been a whirlwind of information. In a recent Reddit AMA with Telltale and Skybound Games, it was revealed The Final Season would, in fact, continue, picking up with episode three “Broken Toys”.
Following that AMA, Skybound announced the game was back in development, with many of the original team members who’d worked on the game while at Telltale. With the game back in development, it was only a matter of time before “Broken Toys” released.
Now, we finally have some answers. Skybound Games announced today that episode three will release January 15, 2019, promising fans that “Clementine’s story isn’t over yet.”
People who have already purchased The Final Season will not have to buy it again. Once everything is back online, “Broken Toys” will be ready for download on whichever platform you purchased it on.
Skybound also released a teaser for episode three, which harkens back to the earliest days of The Walking Dead, with young Clementine, Lee, and other characters like Kenny.
