Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth: Complete Edition Announced

Calling all Digimon fans out there! Bandai Namco recently announced that Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth: Complete Edition (DSCS) will be coming to PC and Nintendo Switch October 18, 2019. This collection will include both games in the series. Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth and its sequel Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth- Hacker’s Memory released on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita.

For some this might be the first time that you’ve even heard of the game, let alone a sequel. The first DSCS game released to average reviews on the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita in 2015.

Similar to the original anime Digimon Adventures, DSCS games might appear like Pokémon rip-offs, yet they are far from it. The first game follows character Aiba as they work to stock a group of hackers in the Digimon Universe. In contrast, during second game players take control of Keisuke Amasawa, a student accused of a crime he didn’t commit. As a result, this forces him to drop out of school and track down the actual criminal who stole his information.

In DSCS games players utilize a deep, turn-based battle systems, just what you would expect from a modern JRPG. Similar to Nintendo’s Pokémon Sword/Shield, players can befriend and train a number of Digimon to aid in your fight. However, if two Digimon games aren’t enough, look out for more information on Digimon Survive, an upcoming Strategy Role-Playing Game which was recently delayed until 2020. Keep an eye out for this game as we get closer to its October release this October!
