Destiny 2: Everything You Need to Know About The ‘Annual Pass’ and ‘Black Armory’

Destiny 2 launched new expansion, The Black Armory this week as we provide you with your essential guide on everything you need to know about the Annual Pass and Black Armory.

The first thing to note is that some of the new content is free for all players, but much is locked behind the Annual Pass, including tons of new activities, weapons and armor for players. Season of the Forge will be free for players, but Black Armory is locked behind the Annual Pass. Therefore many events during the season are free to play, including the Iron Banner, the Dawning event, and some new gear. Everyone will be on the season 5 rank system, but paying players will access a lot more content.

Along with some new awesome Pinnacle weapons you can obtain playing the Vanguard, Gambit and Crucible activities, The Black Armory DLC includes some other sweet exotics:

Izanagi’s Burden

Le Monarque

Anarchy

The Lost Forges

The Lost Forges are a series of a new 3-player fireteam horde mode activity with match-making, the series is made up of four challenges which are released one at a time for players to tackle. These tough challenges are designed for players looking for difficult end-game content outside of raids, strikes and so forth. This will also provide end-game players with other opportunities to collect some new gear. The Lost Forges will take place on already existing planets and maps.

We’ve provided some screenshots for you:

While the Black Armory update landed this week, the first Lost Forge won’t be playable until December 4th. Therefore giving players plenty of time to improve their gear and reach the new level cap of 650. Bungie have confirmed that each season after this, the level cap will increase by a further 50.

Bungie said, “If you can survive the impending chaos, you’ll be able to forge unique new weapons and gear created by three separate cultures lost to time.” This new DLC is focused on the lost Golden Age’s culture and genius. Therefore providing a wealth of lore to un-earth  for players who enjoy the historical aspects of Destiny 2.

Brand New Raid: Scourge Of The Past

Another new feature of the DLC, along with new quests, triumphs and collections, is the release of a new raid, Scourge of the Past. The raid will take place in a new area somewhere in the ruins of the Last City. However it won’t be available until a later date.

Here is an image of the Last City:

New Ships
