Days Gone Will Be at E3 “In a Big Way”

In case you’re new to the party, Days Gone was one of the breakout games shown at Sony’s E3 2016 showcase. Since that time, we’ve gotten some great information about the game here and there, but not too much has been revealed in the first half of 2017.
That’s all about to change, according to actor Sam Witwer, who voices the main character, Deacon St. John, in SIE Bend’s upcoming title. The comment was revealed on his Twitch channel yesterday. Witwer doesn’t say much about Days Gone, only that the game will “be at E3 next month in a big way. Days Gone is going to be there in a big way.”

There is no official release date for Days Gone yet, but rumors have heavily pointed to the game releasing in December of this year. An announcement of a release date is a high possibility at Sony’s E3 2017 showcase- in fact, it’s so high, I’d be *shook*, as the kids say, if the conference ended and we still didn’t have one. But I digress.
Play as Deacon St. John as he struggles to survive.
As for seeing Days Gone on the Sony stage “in a big way”, this could mean a couple of things: we could get a brand new story trailer, as well as go in depth with some extended gameplay. Days Gone will offer a detailed open world experience in the Pacific Northwest. Players will follow Deacon on his journey of survival in a post-apocalyptic world as he encounters both survivors and the undead, known as “Freakers.” That’s really all we know;

While I’m personally excited for the game (I love the post-apocalyptic genre, okay?) I want to see more information that will differentiate Days Gone from other post-apocalyptic games that have that underlying “human” and morally ambiguous narrative. *cough* The Last of Us *cough*
Only a couple more weeks to go! Let me know what you Nerds think about this. Are you excited for Days Gone?
