BlizzCon 2018 All-Access Show Taking Place on 9/12

BlizzCon 2018 is a little under two months away, but the festivities are set to kick off this week.

Blizzard will be holding the BlizzCon 2018 All-Access Show on Wednesday, September 12th, where the company will make a variety of announcements about this year’s convention. It will also mark the launch of the BlizzCon 2018 Virtual Ticket, which allows Blizzard fans to keep up with all of the big announcements, panels, community contests, and eSports tournaments from home. The stream will be broadcast live on Twitch, Facebook, and YouTube at 3pm PDT.

In addition to live coverage from all of the BlizzCon stages, the Virtual Ticket also includes in-game bonuses for Blizzard’s games. During the All-Access Show, hosts Michele Morrow, Alex Albrecht, and Malik Forté will unveil the in-game item for Overwatch. Last year’s bonus was a skin for Winston, while Bastion got the skin in 2016. Every Blizzard game typically gets some kind of bonus, but the various announcements have only specifically mentioned Overwatch so far.

Virtual Ticket holders will also get access to a variety of exclusive video features leading up to BlizzCon, as well as a $10 discount for the BlizzCon goody bag, which is no longer exclusive to attendees. The Virtual Ticket usually costs $40, but a price has yet to be announced for this year’s version. BlizzCon attendees automatically receive a Virtual Ticket with their ticket purchase.

BlizzCon 2018 is scheduled to take place on November 2-3 in Anaheim, California, and a surprise third batch of tickets sold out last month. Blizzard fans are expecting a variety of announcements for all of Blizzard’s current games, but excitement is particularly high for a possible Diablo announcement. Last month, Blizzard announced that “multiple Diablo projects are in the works,” and that we’d hear more about them “later this year.” One of those ended up being a Diablo III port for Nintendo Switch, but fans really want to see a brand new entry in the franchise. If we get that at BlizzCon, it will surely be announced during the opening ceremony, which will take place on November 2nd at 11am PDT.
