Bethesda Reveals Official Gameplay for DOOM Eternal

Yesterday QuakeCon 2018 kicked off with Bethesda and id Software showing off a world premiere gameplay trailer for DOOM Eternal. It’s over ten minutes of intense, fiery combat and new information, and all of it makes one thing certain: Hell never looked more fantastic.

Before the reveal, however, we saw the DOOM Slayer has a new look- a redesigned suit of armor and new weapons that will make in even more lethal as he’s crushing through demons. The Slayer’s classic shotgun has a new “meat hook” feature, a mod that has an extendable blade, which makes getting up close and personal with demons all the more satisfying. What’s more, there is a new enemy to look forward to called The Marauder, who (as Bethesda teased) looks a lot like the Slayer for a reason.

DOOM Eternal promises a pure, unfiltered fps experience. Players have the ability now to take control of demons and invade another player’s campaign. There is also the new option where you can actually team up with demons to create a Slayer-hunting party.

There’s no release date for DOOM Eternal yet, but more information will undoubtedly be surfacing in the coming months. What we do know is the game will be coming to PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
