Animal Crossing: New Horizons Gets Ready For Festivale

It’s going to be a party in Animal Crossing: New Horizons next month when the Festivale event happens as part of the game’s next free update. Nintendo revealed the new event in a trailer released earlier today.

The update releases on January 28th and adds a number of different seasonal items related to Valentine’s Day, Groundhog Day, and Big Game Celebration throughout January and February. It all leads to the Festivale event that happens on February 15th. Pavé the peacock will be set up in the island’s main plaza with confetti and his own assortment of dance moves.

On the day of the event, you’ll be able to find and collect different colored feathers across your island. Bring them to Pavé and he’ll perform a special dance for you. If you want to dress for the event, there will be Festivale clothes available at the Able Sisters shop starting on February 1st.

Festivale themed clothes aren’t the only thing that’ll be available for you to purchase. New Reactions are also being added for the event, including Feelin’ It, Let’s Go, Viva and Confetti.

Nintendo also teased that the March update for Animal Crossing: New Horizons will be surrounding Mario’s 35th anniversary. They first announced that this would be happening last year, but didn’t specify what exactly it would entail outside of furniture. Details still remain murky, but it’s sure to be a big celebration of the iconic plumber.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons has received a steady stream of new content updates ever since its release last year. During the summer we got the ability to explore the ocean and were able to enjoy fireworks shows on our islands. The most recent event allowed players to celebrate the holidays and bring in the new year with their villagers. Hopefully the game can continue to add new and fun things for us to do on our islands as the year goes on.
