Xbox Series X Price & Launch Date Officially Announced

Following yesterday’s announcement of the Xbox Series S, Microsoft has officially announced the price and release date of the Xbox Series X, as well as when people can start pre-ordering the consoles. The Series X will cost $499 when it releases worldwide on November 10th alongside the Series S. If you can’t afford to pay the whole price at once, you can enroll in Xbox All Access and pay $35/month for the console for 24 months.

Xbox All Access will be expanding to eight new countries for a total of 12 countries this holiday season, with more regions to come next year. It will also be available at more retailers such as GameStop, Walmart, Target, and Microsoft Store. More information regarding retailers and regional Xbox All Access launch dates will be revealed as we get closer to the launch of the Series S and Series X

This news confirms the leaks that came out late Monday night in which the pricing and release date for both of Microsoft’s next-gen consoles was revealed.

The one thing that wasn’t leaked was when we could start pre-ordering the consoles. Well Microsoft has also announced that pre-orders for both the Xbox Series S and the Xbox Series X will be going live on September 22nd, just under two weeks from now. If you’re planning on pre-ordering, you better start getting your wallet ready because these next-gen consoles are sure to sell out pretty quickly.

The Xbox Series X has been in a bit of slump lately. Halo Infinite revealed its first gameplay footage in July, but it largely disappointed people. A few weeks later, Microsoft delayed the game into 2021, taking away the console’s flagship title. This new pricing and release date information is just the news to right the ship and change public perception of the Series X.
