Xbox Series X and Series S Price & Release Date Leaked

The leaks keep coming as the price and release date for both the Xbox Series S and the Xbox Series X have been leaked overnight. According to a report from Windows Central, both consoles will be releasing on November 10, with the Xbox Series S priced at $299 and the Xbox Series X priced at $499.

Consumers won’t have to pay the whole price upfront if they choose not to though. As part of their Xbox All Access program, consumers will only have to pay $25/month for the Series S, and $35/month for the Series X.

Thurott’s Brad Sams revealed what is reportedly an image of the Xbox Series S. The console has a similar design to that of the Xbox One S, with a slim, white, rectangular design. What makes this new console stand out from the curent-gen One S is the large, circular black vent on the top of the console. In addition, the Series S also doesn’t have a disk drive. Another leaked video shows that it’s reportedly small enough to fit inside of a Series X.

Microsoft is positioning the Series S as a cheaper, less powerful next-gen alternative to their flagship Series X console. Getting rid of the disk drive and aiming for lower performance is a sure way to make the console as affordable as possible.

The Xbox Series S has been rumored and leaked for a long time. Over the past few weeks, these leaks have become far more frequent, with the white controller that comes with the console being available for purchase and the Series S name appearing on the packaging. We also previously got confirmation from Microsoft that the Xbox Series X would be releasing in November, but no solid date. If the report from Windows Central turns out to be true, we won’t have to wait too much longer to get our hands on these next-gen consoles.
