Xbox Game Pass Ultimate is Adding EA Play

Xbox Game Pass Ultimate is the best deal in gaming and it’s going to be getting a whole lot better. Microsoft has announced that this holiday season, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers on console and PC will also get EA Play as part of their subscription at no extra cost. Making the announcement on the Xbox Wire blog, Sarah Bond said:

Today, we’re excited to announce the next step in this journey. We are teaming up with Electronic Arts to provide Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC members with an EA Play membership at no additional cost starting this holiday. This means Ultimate members can enjoy EA Play on Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S, and Windows 10 PCs, and Xbox Game Pass for PC members get EA Play on Windows 10.

For those that don’t know, EA Play offers its subscribers a number of unique benefits. They get access to dozens of EA titles, such as Titanfall 2, Need for Speed Heat, and FIFA 20, as well as games from some of the companies more popular series’ like Battlefield, Sims, and Mass Effect. Members-only content and discounts, and exclusive in-game challenges and rewards are also perks of being an EA Play subscriber. They’re also granted trials of games that can last up to 10-hours.

EA Play titles won’t be limited to just consoles and PC. Some games will be available for Xbox Game Pass members to play through the cloud on certain Android devices. Xbox Game Pass was already a great service, but making EA Play a part of it at no additional cost is an amazing deal that increases the value of a service that all gamers should take part in.

Today’s news is just one part of the media blitz that Microsoft has been performing over the past two days. Yesterday the company formally announced the Xbox Series S along with its price and release date, while today they’ve announced the price and release date of the Xbox Series X.
