The New Cinematic Trailer for Assassin’s Creed Origins is Gorgeous

We’re just a few weeks away from the release of Assassin’s Creed Originsand Ubisoft has released a new cinematic trailer for the upcoming game. Unlike the previous trailers we’ve seen thus far, this one doesn’t feature any historical figures attempting to build an army to control regions of ancient Egypt. The trailer also doesn’t showcase any gameplay. Instead, it shows the world of ancient Egypt slowly deteriorating into sand.

The new trailer entitled “From Sand” gives us a glimpse into the setting that awaits us, showing everything from the iconic Egyptian pyramids, to port areas, to soldiers standing ready for battle. Every scene has a mellow tone to it as we see people, buildings, and even animals dissolving into nothing. “From Sand” is a nice change from the high action, political corruption trailers that we’ve seen of Assassin’s Creed Origins, and it sets a melancholic tone for the game’s narrative.

With Assassin’s Creed Origins, Ubisoft is not only hoping to take the series in a new direction, but to improve upon the things that have made the series great over the last decade. With this upcoming installment in the franchise, fans will be saying goodbye to the traditional eagle vision and saying hello to a completely new way of exploration, a new combat system, and some memorable side quests that will add to the overarching story of Origins.

Stakes for the game are high. Not only is it releasing in time for the series’ ten-year anniversary, but it has a chance to improve on the monotony of the gameplay that many fans have complained about over the years.

Assassin’s Creed Origins releases for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on October 27th. A version of the game will also release for the Xbox One X in November. Let us know if you’re looking forward to the game, and join LoadingXP for our week-long celebration of the Assassin’s Creed franchise.
