The votes are in. The stage is set, and The Game Awards will air tonight, Thursday December 6th. The show will be taking place live in Los Angeles and will stream across several major platforms. Here’s what you need to know, including when, where, and how to watch the show.
The Time: The Game Awards livestream will begin at 5:30pm Pacific time and 8:30pm Eastern time. In London it will air 1:30am (Friday); 10:30am (Friday) in Japan; and 11:30am (Friday) in Australia. For the full list of international streaming times, click here.
Where to Watch: Practically anywhere. Watch from your phone, TV, or your consoles. The awards show has grown so much, you’ll be able to view it on a variety of platforms. The Game Awards’ official YouTube channel will be streaming it, of course, but you can also catch the show on Twitter, Twitch, Steam, Mixer, Facebook Live, Xbox Live, and PlayStation.
The Announcements: Show host and games industry veteran Geoff Keighley has said there will be more than ten new games announced tonight. Several developers, however, have already given us a tease of what’s to come. Yesterday, Ubisoft revealed a teaser trailer for a post-apocalyptic Far Cry game, which we will see more of tonight; Obsidian Entertainment is teasing its next RPG; and BioWare has given us something to look forward to with more upcoming news about Anthem.
