The Game Awards 2017: When is It and How to Watch?

The end of the year is rapidly approaching, and The Game Awards 2017 are coming with it. Hosted by industry personality and executive producer, Geoff Keighley, the annual awards show will be streaming across the standard platforms like Twitch, Twitter, YouTube, and Facebook in 4K HD, but it has also been expanded to several other platforms and languages. In addition to these services, viewers around the world will be able to live-stream the show via the PlayStation Store, Xbox Live, Mixer, GameSpot, and IGN. International live-streaming partners for the show include AfreecaTV and KakaoTV in South Korea, UOL Jogos in Brazil, NicoNico in Japan, and Ingromania in Russia. Though China does not offer streaming services like Twitch and YouTube, The Game Awards has once again partnered with the Chinese company Tencent to live stream the show.

For the first time ever, The Game Awards will allow fans to vote in three different categories. That may seem like a small number, but each year the awards show has been doing a little more to engage its viewers, and introducing fan voting, even in limited categories, is a huge step in the right direction for its rapidly growing viewership and attendees. Last year, The Game Awards raked in nearly 9 million viewers, and with the backing of these streaming services and platforms across the world, the show is only going to get bigger.
