Near the end of its E3 2018 press conference, Square Enix revealed a new IP entitled The Quiet Man. The part live-action, part in-engine reveal trailer wasn’t long, and information about the game is pretty thin, but what we do know is that more information will be coming this August.
The trailer begins with live-actions, nighttime shots of New York city at night, where a man (who appears to be deaf) walks into an alley and finds himself engaged in a fight. As the camera rotates between the man and his attackers, the trailer swiftly changes from live-action to some sweet, in-game footage. The tagline silence rings loudest gives us a small taste of what’s in store. The full description of the game from the YouTube trailer reads:
THE QUIET MAN™ delivers an immersive story driven cinematic action experience seamlessly blending high-production live action, realistic CG and pulse-pounding action gameplay. Embark on an adrenaline-fueled motion picture like experience which can be completed in one sitting.
As of right now, The Quiet Man looks to be slated for release on PlayStation 4 and PC.
