Sean Bean to Star as the First Elusive Target in Hitman 2

Sean Bean, a man who dies in practically every movie or TV show he appears in, will be Agent 47’s first elusive target in Hitman 2. The announcement trailer can be viewed below.

Elusive targets are a returning feature from 2016’s Hitman. Once activated, an elusive target mission requires players to eliminate a special character that appears in one of the game’s levels. The mission cannot be attempted again once it ends and is only available for a limited time. Players will be able to hunt Bean’s character, The Undying, in Hitman 2’s Miami location beginning on November 20. The mission will be available for 10 days and then disappear forever.

In addition to the elusive target announcement, IO Interactive is holding a vote on the Hitman 2 website that will determine which of three special weapons will be included in the game. Players can choose between a toy robot flash grenade, headphones that are used like the series’ garrotte wire, or a compact explosive pen. At the time of this writing the pen was winning with 41% of the vote.

Hitman 2 will launch on November 13 on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Unlike the series’ previous release, the entire game will be available on launch day. In an interview with GamesIndustry.biz, IO Interactive’s Sven Liebold explained that the studio decided to return to a standard release format in response to player feedback. The game will also feature post-launch DLC that will add new locations and missions.

Furthermore, Hitman 2 will also receive the Hitman Legacy Pack, which will bring the six locations and missions from Hitman into the sequel. Various features from Hitman 2 will be incorporated into the DLC, including new weapons, gameplay mechanics, and improved visual fidelity. The Legacy Pack will be free for players who own all of the Season One content for Hitman and will be available for purchase for everyone else. A price and release date for the Legacy Pack have yet to be announced.
