LoadingXP reviews AAA and independent titles across platforms and genres, and games are given a whole-number score on a scale from 1 to 10. Games are played to completion before reviewing. In the case of massive open-world RPGs (The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Fallout 4, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, etc), a “Review in Progress” is assigned until the game can be adequately reviewed and scored.

Review are not influenced by anyone or anything other than the writer’s own opinions concerning the quality and enjoyment of game. Developers, publishers, PR representatives, etc. are not aware of the content in LoadingXP’s reviews until they are live on the site.

LoadingXP holds its writers to high ethical standards. Reviews go through a thorough editing process, until the Reviews Editor is confident the content of the review accurately reflects the final score.

LoadingXP prefers whole-number scores because it forces us to be as thoughtful and concise as possible in our reviews.
