PS Plus Collection is Coming to PS5, 18 Games Announced

Yesterday was a big moment for PlayStation fans. Sony live streamed its latest PS showcase, where we got another look at some previously announced PlayStation 5 games, along with the reveal of new ones like Final Fantasy XVI. The big announcement, of course, was Sony finally announcing the launch date of the PlayStation 5 and the price for both the digital console and the version with the disc drive. PS5 launch details aside, one of the other highlights of the showcase was the reveal of the PlayStation Plus Collection.

The PlayStation Plus Collection is a curated library of 18 generation-defining PS4 titles that will be available on the PS5 on launch day. This package of games will be available exclusively for PS Plus subscribers. Sony confirmed the full list of games during the showcase, which includes:

God of War (SIE Santa Monica Studio)
Bloodborne (FromSoftware, Inc.)
Monster Hunter: World (Capcom)
Final Fantasy XV (Square Enix)
Fallout 4 (Bethesda Game Studios)
Mortal Kombat X (NetherRealm Studios)
Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End (Naughty Dog)
Ratchet and Clank (Sony Interactive Entertainment)

Days Gone (SIE Bend Studio)
Until Dawn (Supermassive Games)
Detroit: Become Human (Quantic Dream)
Battlefield 1 (DICE)
inFamous Second Son (Sucker Punch Productions)
Batman: Arkham Knight (Rocksteady Studios)
The Last Guardian (Team Ico)
The Last of Us Remastered (Naughty Dog)
Persona 5 (Atlus)
Resident Evil: Biohazard (Capcom)

For those who may not have been satisfied with some of the PS5 games that will be available at launch, the PS Plus Collection might come as a small relief. The Collection might also be a great deal for players who have yet to subscribe to the PS Plus service. In addition to the games in the Collection, some of the PS5’s actual launch titles include: Demon’s Souls; Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales (in addition to the Ultimate Edition); Destruction All Stars; Sackboy A Big Adventure, and more. CD Projekt Red has also announced that Cyberpunk 2077 will be a cross-get launch game, available on both PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4.
