Pokemon: Let’s Go, Evee and Pokemon: Let’s Go, Pikachu are Now Available on Nintendo Switch

Pokemon fans can rejoice. Only a year after the release of Pokemon: Ultra Sun and Pokemon: Ultra Moon, the newest Pokémon game has finally launched. Today, Pokemon: Let’s Go, Evee and Pokemon: Let’s Go, Pikachu is available on the Nintendo Switch.

Now, fans can go back to where it all started, the Kanto Region. Pokemon: Let’s Go offers a robust dose of nostalgia, giving fans the opportunity to catch the original 150. And while the game revisits the first generation, it is unlike any Pokemon game we have seen before.

This title marks the first main series Pokemon game to come to the Nintendo Switch. Prior to the game’s launch, fans could play Pokemon Quest – a free-to-play game with a uniquely blocky art style. Pokemon: Let’s Go, however, give fans a core Pokemon experience while simultaneously reimaging the franchise’s formulaic game design. With an all-new game engine that offers increased graphical fidelity, Pokemon: Let’s Go gives fans the opportunity to explore the world of Pokemon in greater detail than ever before.

In addition to the graphic improvements, the newest installment in the Pokemon franchise brings mechanics and features familiar to Pokémon Go players, including a motion-based capture system and open world sprite population. These changes offer a more tactile experience while creating a less threatening starting point to newcomers.

Pokémon: Let’s Go also comes with an all-new game mode. Drawing again from the success of Niantic’s wildly popular mobile game, Pokémon: Let’s Go features Go Park. Go Park allows fans to transfer Pokemon from Pokemon Go and interact with them via the Go Park. These new integrations are sure to bring a breadth of new player who have been reintroduced to the franchise via Pokemon GO.
