PlayStation Plus Games Announced for August

The free PlayStation Plus games for August have been announced and they’re two big ones. Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered will be the games on offer for Playstation Plus subscribers. Both games will be available until August 31.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered was released earlier this year. It’s a fully remastered version of the campaign from the 2009 classic. This version has improved lighting, textures, and animations amongst other things. The game will be available for Playstation Plus subscribers starting July 28.

Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout is a brand new take on the battle-royale genre. Instead of dropping one hundred players into a battleground where they fight to be the last one alive, Fall Guys treats the concept more like a party game with free-for-all and team challenges to participate in. One round may see competitors trying to slam through walls in a race to the finish, while another will require players to dodge swinging beams in order to avoid being knocked down into a pit of slime. Only the winning team of each round advances, with the final round being a mad scramble to claim overall victory. Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout will be available for Playstation Plus subscribers starting August 4.

Fall Guys actually received its official August 4 release date a few weeks ago during the Devolver Direct livestream. The game being made free for Playstation Plus subscribers when it launches is sure to help the game have a strong launch with a large player base.

The PlayStation Plus games for July will be going away on Monday, August 3, so this is the time to claim them if you have yet to do so. Those games are NBA 2K20, Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration, and the interactive thriller Erica.
