Nioh and Outlast 2 Coming to PlayStation Plus in November

PlayStation Plus subscribers are in for two major games next month, and one of them is a cult (no pun intended) favorite that will be perfect for those who’ll still be looking for their Halloween horror fix. PlayStation announced today that Nioh and the survival horror Outlast 2 will be free-to-play once they hit the subscription service next week.

Team Ninja’s Nioh, which released in 2017, is an intense action- RPG that puts players in the midst of feudal Japan during the Sengoku period. Playing as a warrior named William, players battle demons known as Yokai in an ultimate battle of survival. Nioh brilliantly combines fast, visceral combat and gameplay, with historical facts and ancient Japanese mythology. Fans of Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice who haven’t played Nioh yet, might enjoy this one.

Then there’s Outlast 2, which personally got under my skin far more than the first game. Outlast 2 still relies on the same core mechanics as the first game, such as stealth and running, but the environment has been opened up drastically in the second game, giving it a more atmospheric and unsettling experience as you attempt to survive a cult.

Nioh and Outlast 2 will be available to download from the PlayStation Store between November 5th and December 3rd. PS Plus subscribers who haven’t done so already, still have time to pick up September’s games, MLB: The Show 19 and The Last of Us Remastered. (If you own a PS4 and, for some reason, haven’t played The Last of Us, I’m only slightly judging you. Slightly.)
