New Metal Gear Solid V Update Lets You Play as Quiet

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain just got its first major update in a while for PS4, Xbox One, and PC, and this one lets you play as the infamous assassin, Quiet.

Konami announced in the update that you will be able to use Quiet to infiltrate FOBs. She’s perfect for this- one, because her hands are steady and allows her to take shots from a distance with limited shaking; and two, because Quiet is extremely fast and, as stated in the patch notes, her speed “allows for unique jumping abilities over high steps where a player would usually need a ladder.” Those familiar with Quiet’s unique movements, know that she is also stealthy and can blend into her environments with ease.

For those hoping for some customization options, though, you’re out of luck, as the update notes explain you can’t change Quiet’s outfit or her head options. Makes sense, otherwise she’d suffocate. It’s the reason for her skimpy outfit- Quiet breathes through her skin. Yes, you read that last sentence correctly.

Konami also went into detail about new Online Development items added to the game, weapons that keep developing even when you are away from your console or PC. MB coins can be used to shorten the development time as well. There has also been a new difficulty level (hard) added to the “Event FOBs” that lets your earn more even points.
